from above post, It is said that money you are paying in emi for 20 yrs that can be recovered by mare investment via sip after 20 yrs... ..so you are paying only interest amount to bank but 20lac is recovered via flat and additional money made by sip(i.e It's total your money coming back to you with interest)......total profit Read More...

I think this is an illustration and should be reviewed as an option to build corpus equivalent home loan EMI outflow. the important thing which got missed over here is keep reviewing the SIP portfolio and the moment CAGR touches 12% or 15% (whatever % you are comfortable with as long as it is higher than your home loan interest rate) - liquidate your SIP portfolio (keeping in my the tax implication) and continue periodic review and repeat this exercise after every 2 years.
