Yesterday, someone shared that $HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund - Dividend regular, provided Rs.10554 for 10 lakhs investment , dividend per unit was .310 and Nav was 29.371. Seems correct but that post also said it was Tax free, I couldn't find the post, but is it true ? and if true, how is it Tax free. I am really interested because I want to invest in fund which provides little payout every month, I do know about SWP- but was interested in dividend plan & since it was tax free my interest spiked, can anyone provide insight regarding that? It is not tax free. There was a column in the end which was not visible in the screenshot, it was about the impact on NAV. The impact was more than the dividend. I think 0.350. Read More...

The NBFC crisis looks more and more like 2007 sub prime mortgage crisis : 1. Lehmann style : ILFS default - check 2. Credit rating agencies over inflated and fraudulent rating - check 3. LIC and pension bonds are top holders in NC debentures - check Tell me how this is different than subprime mortgage crisis except the scale. Read More...

By looking into IL&FS reports, they have huge non-convertible debentures upto 10kCrs out of 90kCrs, In them top holders are LIC's, pension funds(postal too) and banks. Looks eerily similar to 2008 sub prime mortgage crisis where $1.3 trill pension funds were wiped out. No wonder markets are taking the beating. Read More...
