@pravinkoner1 icici is better but you can go with some better one large-cap fund  $Axis Bluechip Fund - Direct Plan - Growth or  $Aditya Birla Sun Life Frontline Equity Fund -Growth-Direct Plan  and one mid-cap fund  $HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund - Direct Plan - Growth Option. Regular funds have an agent name associated with it.. So Fund house passes a small portion of the profit to the agent every year. (though this is never shown to the customer and this commission is passed in the background) Direct funds are the one, which doesn't have any intermediator, and you buy directly from fund house. Yes, the returns in Direct funds will obviously be slightly higher than the corresponding Regular funds. Read More...
