$Kotak Standard Multicap Fund-Direct-Growth there is no doubt in that Fund is definitely Good and can be considered be for investment with 5 to 7 years horizon. But if you ask about AUM then way MF industry is going and way the inflow in MF is increasing month on month ..5 to 7 years down the line AUM of every Fund will have Huge increase in AUM..i think we should leave that on Fund Manager and AMC. Just Focus on choosing right set of funds and Invest regularly. Read More...

@InvestSmart @sumitmundik @PerFinGuide Pls clear my doubt.... suppose I'm investing in a mutual fund through SIP (not lumpsum) for few years & it's not performing well. I decided to redeem the money & invest into a new fund. What should be ideal mode of investing in that case? Should I invest through STP or do lumpsum? Read More...

Hi... Have a query regarding non performing mf. Suppose I'm investing in a fund since 3yr through SIP & it's not performing well. Then what should I do with the accumulated amount? Should I redeem the money & start a new SIP? If I want to switch to a another mf then it should be with in same AMC otherwise I can't switch. If I switch within same AMC then I have to choose different category of fund as most AMC have single fund in a category. If I willing to choose another category within same AMC then should I switch as lump-sum or STP. In lumpsum switching it's almost similar to lumpsum investment because I may catch up market high. If a fund is not performing well that does not always means it's a bad fund. in case you don't want to continue with the fund, you can switch to some other fund under same AMC only. else you can redeem and start a new fund from different AMC. keep in mind, an exit load will be applied on the unites purchased with a year.
