I know ulip and fds don't give u enough returns...but u should not keep all ur eggs in the same basket... so is it wrong to invest in different financial tools...????? my investment funda is simple..never rely on 1 financial tool to make money. ..money is money...however way it comes...whether it comes in ample quantity or small and steadily.. so my investments contain... mutual funds lumpsum... mutual fund sip... term plan with lic.. medical insurance.. fds with tax benefit.. fd without tax benefit... ppf investment of 1.5 lakhs per annum... about 25-30 gms gold as liquid money. . 1 child plan.. 1 retirement plan..ie ulip plan 1 fixed benefit plan..for mid life fund... 1 endowment plan... all the above 4 plans with life cover too...that adds my total life cover to 2 crores... Kindly express ur views on my plans..#Insurance #Wealth #Gold #PPF #Pension #Markets Read More...

Mutual funds in itself invest in many different type of companies, there are large cap, mid cap and small cap categories in equity. Then in debt there are low duration, liquid, corporate bond etc. categories. Mutual funds are by definition diversified. And all your investment needs can be fulfilled through mutual funds. For insurance there is need of only Term insurance and health insurance.  There is no need of investing in FD for tax benefit as it can be achieved through mutual funds also. ULIPs are not needed for retirement as pension plans do not give you flexibility of redeeming all the money on retirement. You have to take compulsory annuity.  Endowment plan is the biggest waste of money, even FD is better than that. For insurance go for term, and for investment go with debt fund if your risk appetite is low. Also, gold is not liquid money. If you need liquidity, invest in Liquid funds. Read More...

Broader market is vulnerable and any bad news adversely affects this pocket of stocks. Since Jan 2018 downfall sensex has recouped the losses but broader market is still down more than 10%. It showed signs of revival but gave up finally and started moving south again vehemently. There is a general advise that it's better to remain in large cap or multicap category than small and midcap which is proved from today's carnage. Read More...
