Should I close my RD and invest in debt fund? I have an RD running since June-15 with 10000 per month. It will mature in 2025 with maturity amount 1836000 but post tax will be reduced to 1640000 So effectively 5.9% return instead of 8% I saved this money for my kids' eduction and will require after 2028 upto 2031(maybe). Present accumulated corpus is 640000.Now please someone tell me whether I should close RD and invest this money in other debt/hybrid/equity instruments for better return pist tax and withdrawal flexibility.I have just started investing in equity funds through SIP 18000 per month. please suggest Read More...

Considering inflation you will lose ur earnings along with tax burden.. If you don't have to take a risk you can invest in Liquid Fund or Ultra short bonds.. Currently $Franklin India Ultra Short Bond Fund Super Institutional Plan - Direct-Growth is not performing well.. So you would go for for Liquid Funds which is given around 7 to 7.3% return.. You can either invest in $Axis Liquid Fund - Direct Growth or if u like ti take some risk then invest in $Axis Bluechip Fund - Direct Plan - Growth or $Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund - Direct Plan - Growth Read More...
